As a result of customer demand Kwik-Fit Insurance Services was launched in 1995 and has grown to become one of the UK's leading motor insurance distributors.
Many considered this to be a very bold move into an already very competitive marketplace. Tom Farmer was convinced that the philosophy of always going the extra mile for customers, which had revolutionised the auto repair industry, would change the face of insurance.
Originally employing 130 people, their trailblazing call centre at Uddingston, Lanarkshire, now employs more than 800 people, handling an incredible 10 million calls every year.
On 17th November 2002 the sale of Kwik-Fit was concluded and the new owners were CVC Europe. However, Kwik-Fit has recently been sold again and on 27 June 2005 were bought over by PAI Partners. As a business their philosophy remains unchanged and Kwik Fit continue to be entirely focused on providing the best possible service to their customers, across the length and breadth of the country, and similarly, Kwik Fit work very hard to provide all their staff with the training programmes and mentoring necessary to allow them to maximise their potential and support their customers.
